The Data Leaders’ Fellowship Programme is a data leadership programme that seeks to build the data capacity of Leaders and Champions at subnational level, who are working on county planning and devolution matters, with an evidence-based framework for effective performance management, resource management, citizen & civil engagement and informed decision making.

There will be physical workshops that will be held in Nairobi. Other sessions will  be held virtually while the field study will be carried out in your county.
Here is a secret on how you can become successful in the fellowship.
1. Have an open mind with a willingness to learn
2. Be passionate about being a change agent in your county
3. Commit to the field study and the assignments you will be given in the program
4. Share what you know and have experienced that could add to our learning knowledge and help other fellows do better for their counties
5. Spare time for the virtual sessions and show up
6. Have internet access
You should be 18 - 35 years old
1. Be a Kenyan citizen
2. Aged between 18-35 years
3. Be passionate about transformative change and be willing to be a change agent
4. Have basic understanding of county governance structures
5. Prior experience working with community based organizations, county/national government , or not for profit organizations engaged in community work is preferred
6. Reside in the county where you are applying from
1. Knowledge in data collection, management and usage
2. Knowledge in data frameworks
3. Practical experience on how to collect and gather data
4. Hands on experience on how to use technology for effective data management
5. Learning from world class faculty and your peers
Once shortlisted and selected, you will be enrolled into the 8 month program. Appointment letters will be sent out to all candidates by the 15th July  and a notice given on when the program will start.
The fellowship is an 8 months program and will commence in July 2021 to February 2022. The time investment will vary across the following key areas:
1. Physical workshop
2. Practicum/ Field Study
3. Online sessions/conference
In the event that you do not qualify for the Data Leaders Fellowship Programme, we shall not only communicate the same but also keep your records on file so we can engage you on our other programs as and when the need arises.
